Postponed trade shows
With the spread of Covid 19, nearly all the spring 2020 engineering trade shows have been postponed or cancelled.

It is for the safety of visitors and exhibitors and, companies that were going to exhibit are being philosophical about the disruption and extra costs. In most cases they can rearrange their bookings, so they can mitigate the problems. However, it is certain that postponed trade shows are only one aspect of the economic impact the virus is going to have on trade. In the short term, industries that rely on travel and meeting people face to face in any way are going to be the worst affected.

Business has to continue and parts have to be manufactured. Manufacturers will need to be inventive about how they carry on their business, minimising travel, working out how to get new and better products in front of clients, and ways of encouraging consumers and businesses to continue buying in these uncertain times.

The internet looks as though it will become even more important for businesses.
